Our girls are the heart of August Ragdolls and the foundation of each generation we produce. Every queen in our program is chosen with careful consideration of health, temperament, structure, pedigree, and the qualities she can contribute to future generations.
We believe a beautiful pedigree is only the beginning. Our queens are first and foremost beloved members of our family, and we value the affectionate, confident personalities that make the Ragdoll breed so special. We also actively show our cats in CFA and TICA, allowing us to have their structure and breed type evaluated while continuing to learn and make thoughtful decisions for our breeding program.
Each of our girls brings something unique to August Ragdolls. Some represent generations of accomplished show lines, while others bring qualities we hope to preserve and strengthen as our program grows.
Below, we’d love to introduce you to the girls behind August Ragdolls.

Introducing
TICA and CFA CH Cajun Ragdolls Painted Sunrise of AugustRags
Painted Sunrise — “Sunny”
The Queen of August Ragdolls
Sunny is our beautiful, voluptuous tortie girl with a colorful coat, striking blue eyes, and a personality every bit as impressive as her appearance.
There is absolutely no question who runs the Ragdoll side of our house—Sunny does. She knows she’s the queen, carries herself accordingly, and has no problem reminding Astro of his place when she feels he needs it. 😂 Despite his impressive show titles, at home even Astro knows who is really in charge.
Sunny also enjoyed an amazing show career and seemed to know exactly how beautiful she was. Her unique tortie coloring made her stand out in the show hall, and she was always happy to show off that gorgeous, colorful coat.
Beyond her accomplishments, Sunny represents many of the qualities we value in our breeding program: beautiful Ragdoll type, substance, structure, personality, and the unmistakable presence that makes you stop and notice her.
We are especially excited to see what Sunny contributes to the next generation of August Ragdolls. She has now been bred to RW SGC Astro, and we are hopeful that this pairing will bring together some of our favorite qualities from both cats.
If Sunny has anything to say about it, though, we’re pretty sure she’ll take full credit for the kittens. ❤️
She is proudly out of:

Xena
Xena is our beautiful seal bicolor girl, born September 16, 2025, with an incredible pedigree and an equally unforgettable personality.
If Xena has her way, she is going to be a kitten forever. She is incredibly goofy, playful, and always looking for her next adventure—or her next opportunity to terrorize someone in the house. One of her favorite tricks is jumping up door frames as though she’s suddenly decided she might just climb the wall. Life with Xena is rarely boring.
Her partner in crime is actually a Maine Coon. Xena and our girl Cleo have become best friends, and watching these two grow up together has been so much fun. They play hard, get into trouble together, and have formed a friendship that couldn’t care less that they’re two completely different breeds.
But Xena loves every bit as hard as she plays. When she’s finished creating chaos, she turns into an incredibly affectionate girl who wants to cuddle, be close to us, and purr as loudly as she possibly can. That combination of playful silliness and intense affection is one of the things we love most about her.
Xena has also taught us that every show cat develops on their own timeline. She has been slower to mature physically, and her show career didn’t take off as quickly as Astro’s did. That’s perfectly okay with us. Ragdolls are a slow-maturing breed, and we are enjoying watching Xena develop at her own pace. She has already earned her CFA Champion title, and we believe some of her best days are still ahead of her.
Behind all that silliness is an extraordinary pedigree. Xena is the daughter of GCD, BWR, NW CajunDoll Marshall Dillon, one of the most accomplished Ragdolls in the breed’s history. We are incredibly proud to have his daughter in our program and excited to see what Xena contributes to future generations of August Ragdolls.
She may have some very serious Ragdoll history behind her—but Xena herself doesn’t take life too seriously at all. And we wouldn’t change that about her. ❤️
Behind Xena's Pedigree: The Legacy of Marshall Dillon
Meet the legendary Cajun Doll Marshall Dillon — Xena’s sire.
GCD, BWR, NW CajunDoll Marshall Dillon
Marshall Dillon is one of the most decorated Ragdolls in breed history. Born December 1, 2016, he made history as the first Ragdoll in CFA Championship to earn the prestigious Grand of Distinction (GCD) award—a milestone achievement that elevated the breed on an international stage.
During the 2017–2018 show season, Marshall Dillon was crowned the #1 Ragdoll internationally and earned a National Win (NW) after placing in the Top 25 Allbreed Cats in CFA. He is also a celebrated Breed Winner (BWR) and Grand Champion, recognized for his exceptional type, balance, and presence.
His pedigree is equally remarkable. He is sired by Calirags Sitting Bull, a CFA Regional Winner and Grand Champion, as well as a TICA Regional Winner Quadruple Grand Champion, and out of CFA Grand Champion CajunDoll Shadows in the Moonlight, an outstanding producer of quality and elegance.
After his groundbreaking CFA career, Marshall Dillon returned to the show ring in TICA, where he once again excelled, earning the title of Regional Winner Quadruple Grand Champion.
A true once-in-a-generation sire, GCD, BWR, NW CajunDoll Marshall Dillon is quite simply a cat for the history books. His legacy continues through his offspring, including Xena, and we are honored to carry his influence forward.
